At the beginning Teacher Bryan developed the warm-up activity that was ¨Simon says¨ when he starts to introduce the activity the kids were a little bit confused because they had problems remembering the alphabet, but he solved it very quickly making a feedback about the last class with the feedback, the students catch immediately the ideas. For future classes, remember that before we start we have to give a little feedback since the children do not have English classes every day, and with that, we will avoid them being lost at the time of starting our class.
Them teacher Karla starts with the numbers explanation, she begging to relate the numbers with the colors to make the learning process easier. students catch fast the ideas because she makes that they repeat a lot the vocabulary, she stars with an amazing energy that makes to the students pay more attention to all that teacher Karla did.
Teacher Marisol starts to develop a ¨bingo activity¨ She did some groups moreover, she gave a good and clear instruction about that. Also, she gave and explained the material to every single group, at the end of the activity teacher Karla did an activity to stand and sit, to awake the child.
To finish the class, teacher Karla and Kevin divided the class into two groups, they start to say some numbers and the children had to write on the board the numbers. the group that had more numbers name correctly will win, that was a good activity the children were very attentive and they made a good job at the end of the activity, they check and correct the mistakes with groups in general.
Hello Astrid! I have read your blog and I see that you have explained each activity that the participants developed. Apparently, it was an active and creative class since they used material and I think that calls too much attention to the students. On the other hand, I agree with you about the feedback. It is true that children do not receive English every day, therefore it is necessary to make a reminder of the last class. Finally, I liked that you have detailed each activity because it helps us as teachers to have an idea about how to develop a class. Good job! :)
ResponderEliminarHi Astrid. I want to tell that I agree with you. Sometimes it is difficult for kids to remember what did they study last class, so giving them a feedback is important. Also I think the same about the materials that they used; those ones were colorful and creative but I think that they should have used more pages or images to catch their attention. Anyway the teachers did a great job.
ResponderEliminarGood afternoon Astrid, I just wanted to let you know that I just read what you wrote in your blog, and I completly agree with you, it is true that you have to give feedback before starting the class that is why we do a warm up in which we are supposed to remember the topic children learn in the previous class and also to break the ice in the classroom. I do think that each of the teacher did a really good job at the moment of giving the class. At the end the class was clearly entertaining and teachers achieve their goal which was for children to learn the new vocabulary.
ResponderEliminarHello, Astrid.
ResponderEliminarFrom what I have read it seems that it was a good class. It is good to know that the group was prepared with an extra plan which is good because we never know what will happen next. It is nice that you make emphasis on the feedback for the upcoming groups because the ones that have not presented yet they can have an extra activity for that situation. Through the pictures I can assume that the class was nice; it seems that the group used a lot of colorful material for the numbers.
Helll Astrid as I arkedy tell you after the class and share opinions I totally agree with you Astrid, actually I was telling you in the class that they fail in some things... I really like your blog, also I want to add something I just think that at the beginig of the class was difficult break the ice because the student's weren't familiar with the teacher also the fact that they don't study the subject and the topics every day..... was a pleasure read your blog
